re-source is a natural spring water that is in a bottle made from 25% recyclable plastic.
Aside from the unique bottle, there is a very exciting partnership behind the brand. re-source has teamed together with Whole Foods Markets as well as Greenopolis (a subsidiary of Waste Management) and MBDC, the brains behind the “Cradle-to Cradle” book. You can purchase this water exclusively at Whole Foods and at a few select Whole Foods stores, you may find a “GreenOps Tracking Station”. This station is where you can recycle your re-source bottle (along with other plastic bottles). The goal behind this partnership is to take the recycled plastic and turn it into future re-source bottles, with the ultimate goal being producing a bottle of 100% recycled plastic. Wouldn’t that be nice? Not many people know that when you put your plastic bottles into your curbside recycling bin, it isn’t guaranteed that they will actually be recycled. This process is hoping to close that loop and help the environment.
This site also features a blog called “The Source”. It will be updated with relevant information around the four categories, re-source, re-think, re-cycle and reach-out. Be sure to check back for new posts.
When visiting our site, be sure to watch the awesome intro video which will help describe the process. Also, please visit the pledge page (via the ticker call-out on the homepage or the “reach-out” tab) and make a recycling pledge! We would appreciate the support. We hope that you will become a Facebook fan and follow us on twitter. You can do so here:
